The plywood mill in Louisville, purchased just thirty days earlier by New Wood Resources LLC, an Atlas Holdings company, to establish a new business called Winston Plywood & Veneer, was in the direct path of the tornado. It was completely destroyed. J Guadalupe Arellano, AIA, served as principal architect for the rebuilding. On January 30, 2015, Winston Plywood & Veneer broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art plywood manufacturing facility, which features several different roof heights and roof elevations ranging from 25 to 58. Construction was completed in 2016, the large rebuilding process strengthened the community of which we are honored to be a part.
