On July 30, 2014, Houlka lost its 80-year-old, historic school building to a tragic fire. PryorMorrow designed the new building, which is 14,250 square feet. The Chickasaw County School District chose to build additional classrooms in lieu of an auditorium. Twelve classrooms and administrative offices were constructed.
