Six new classrooms were added at Richland Elementary School along with restroom facilities and a new special needs playground. Renovations were also made at the school that included electrical upgrades, new intercom and fire alarm systems, new security cameras for doors and halls, HVAC upgrades, reroofing, new ceiling and LED lighting in library, and restroom renovation. The improvements were part of the School Bond Issue Project for Rankin County School District.
