PyorMorrow would like to welcome Jake Lindley of Tupelo, MS, as our summer Intern Architect. Jake is currently attending Mississippi State University as a graduate student. He spent the past five years in the School of Architecture at MSU and graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Architecture. In Fall 2023, he will continue his education at MSU, pursuing a Master’s in Landscape Architecture.
Jake enjoys music, traveling, reading, and drawing. He also plays a role in his home church’s audio/tech and music ministry. Jake will be a counselor for MSU’s Design Discovery camp for incoming high school graduates this summer. He will be across the table in the next academic year, giving back to a school he loves with a Graduate Teaching Assistantship in the virtual studio.
While at PryorMorrow, Jake said he looks forward to learning more about the best ways to collaborate with engineers/consultants, best project flow practices, and increased schedule efficiency. He is currently working on two new-construction projects, a post-secondary institutional facility with some master plan work and a medical clinic.
“Architecture has a purpose that is bigger than you that requires a power that is bigger than you,” said Jake. “Architecture should remind you who you are. It depends upon the individual and the landscape as its sources of life. It should be a mechanism for empowering and supportive in its greatest capacity of manifesting life – not only life physically but the life that is generated in the psychological realm too.”
Welcome to the team, Jake!
